 Toy Drive for Seriously ill Children
Will You Support Us??
 
We are writing to ask for your support for a charity toy appeal we are running, throughout 2009, in readiness for Christmas this year when we will run a ‘Toy Drive’ through the streets of Mansfield.
We are the Mansfield and Ashfield Driving Instructors Association www.madia.org.uk and we continually raise money for local good causes. Our good cause this year is to benefit PASIC, which is the Parents Association for Seriously Ill Children (registered charity number 506778). www.pasic.org.uk PASIC is a support group for the parents of children and young people diagnosed with serious illnesses like cancer, leukaemia, brain tumours or similar related illnesses.
On the 19th of December 2009, Mansfield & Sutton-in-Ashfield Town Centres will see a convoy of local Driving Instructors cars passing through when the Mansfield and Ashfield Driving Instructors Association will be taking all the toys we have collected to Kings Mill Hospital. The toys will be presented to representatives of PASIC and Kings Mill Hospital, who will hand them over to the children receiving treatment in hospital with serious or life limiting illnesses, especially those who may be being treated over the Christmas period this year.
We are aware that it is a little early to approach you, but we intend to maximise the planning and success of our event.
So, are you able to help us?
We are very appreciative of all support for this very worthy cause and we do hope that you will be able to support our appeal at this early stage. We would be delighted to receive: -
- Toys, games etc
- Cash donations (cheques should be made payable to PASIC Registered Charity number 506778)
- Support in kind – are you able to donate any staff support or time to our appeal? Publicity support would be equally appreciated.
Please help us ‘DRIVE’ to success and spread happiness amongst those not as fortunate as ourselves.
