MADIA was founded in July 2006 by Kevin Hooton, a local Instructor who organised a meeting that was very successful. The first committee was formed shortly afterwards.
The purpose of MADIA is to achieve ‘Unison amongst Instructors’, to improve our relationship with our colleagues and move our profession forward.
We are trying to increase awareness on road safety issues by approaching various authorities such as Council, Highways and Police to discuss issues raised by our members which are considered to be of concern. As an association we can pool our resources together and be taken more seriously,
We believe that this will be one of the greatest Driving Instructors Associations in the area with a dedicated committee, a wealth of experience, drive and hunger to push this Association onto bigger and better things to help ADI’s and PDI’s with their businesses.
Speakers from all professions are invited to attend our meetings to talk on subjects ranging from industry news to business advice. You will have a chance to have your say and be heard at our open meetings. Our dedicated committee will record your issues and try to resolve them on your behalf.
We have held a number of fund raising events which have raised over £2000 for the chosen charities. We’ve had our own merchandise made, set up an S.O.S. for our members, approached and set up various discounts with local companies and held several successful social events, why not check out the links opposite. We are working on your behalf all we ask is, please give us your support. Our Motto is ‘Instructors in Unison’. We already have a dedicated and enthusiastic group of ADI’s and PDI’s as members. We are committed to increasing our membership so that MADIA can reach its full potential.

Our meetings are held every 3rd Wednesday of the month at the Rifle Volunteer in Skegby, Sutton-in-Ashfield, from 8pm till 10pm. We look forward to welcoming you!
